Zahra who??

I started this blog last May of 2012.  Wrote one post and then just abandoned the whole thing until a few days ago.  I've been going through so much I could not keep silent any longer.  The knowledge I have been gaining is bubbling up and running over so I have to share it!

If the birds can can I! :)
I have a body so I care about how it works and became intrigued about what will enable me to reach my physical goals. I'm not a doctor, nurse or health care professional though.

I love to eat!! I have been convicted of the need for good nutrition.  We live or die by what we put in our mouths.  Most chronic diseases Americans are struggling with can be disintegrated by a cleansing, healthy way of eating....not a temporary "diet"...eating is a way of life.  Food is medicine...and our medicine should be food. I'm not a nutritionist (yet) though.

I've had natural hair for over ten years and I enjoy learning about how to enhance my natural tresses! I'm not a textured hair specialist thougth.

Natural tresses...his and mine :)
I'm definitely NOT a mental health specialist...but I've had enough ups and downs to be committed! :) I'm finally coming out of the darkness concerning having a true, positive, limitless outlook on ANY and EVERY situation.  The Bible states in Philippians 4:8 to set your mind on positive things:  whatever is true, noble, right , pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy.  Those are powerful words for someone (me) who could not see the light because of the sun...if you know what I mean.  My depression threshold has been overcome, exceeded, totally more....that part of the journey is over.  It's too costly with absolutely no benefits to speak of.

I am a wife, mother, sister, aunt, daughter, daughter -in -law, sister -in -law, cousin, granddaughter, niece, friend, acquaintance, co-worker, a work in progress and best of all a child of King Jesus!

I have NOT arrived and assure you I still have a looooooong way to go! See the road below?

The winding road of life...through the forest...
I have a background in food science, engineering and quality assurance.  I've worked in the consumer goods industry for almost 7 years.

I say all this to illustrate that you don't have to be a doctor to learn about your body and how it don't have to be a nutritionist to decide to explore food and how it impacts you.  All you have to do is be curious...absorb the knowledge around you and share it.  Life sets you on a path to reach your true open,  expose yourself, accept the path and pass on the gifts you recieve.

We have tests so that we can give a testimony...not to keep it to here it goes!  I will be sharing a part of me with every post.  I pray it will be helpful in your life's journey to optimal living.

The West African Coast - we have already traveled a long way! Let's keep it moving!

Peace and blessings!
