The Food Journey: C - Blast Smoothie

I created my new favorite smoothie for the 2013 cold weather season.  Yes...I know it's really cold and nice warm mugs of tea,  hot chocolate or lattes are SO good this time of year...but my body is still yearning for a BIG fresh vitamin hit.  Just like our juicer that is whirring away our blender is still in business too.  The C - Blast smoothie (C = vitamin C) hit the spot this morning! I created a powerful nutritious breakfast with a few simple ingredients.  Take a look:

Ingredients:
1 cup strawberries (frozen)
1/2 cup cranberries (fresh)
1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
4-5 dates
1/4 cup pumpkin seeds

You can add water to reach your desired consistency.  I didn't add any water to this recipe...it was definitely straw worthy.
